On June 3, the 2018 Marathon LPGA Classic champion, Jasmine Suwannapura, traveled back to Highland Meadows Golf Park in Sylvania, Ohio, for a Media Day that included lunch and Q&A in anticipation of the 2019 Marathon LPGA Classic.

At the Media Day, Suwannapura spoke on her inspiration to become a pro golfer and the moments leading up to her win in 2018. In addition, local children were given the opportunity to learn from Suwannapura by attending a golf workshop at Inverness Park. She also hit a few golf balls and played games with the girls.

The 2019 Marathon LPGA Classic presented by Dana will be held July 8-14. The event’s purpose is to raise funds for children’s charities in Northwest Ohio. In 2018, the tournament surpassed the $10M mark benefiting 180 local children’s charities since its inception in 1984.
