Western Oklahoma MPLX Gives Back

Community News

Western Oklahoma MPLX employees were driven to organize a community outreach charity walk upon finding that there wasn’t one in their community. By unanimous vote, Dream League, their community’s special needs baseball league, was selected as the recipient of their fundraising efforts.

“In a community our size, we have several ties to the Dream League,” shared Chemist/Lab Technician Jennifer Jones. “Many of us know Dream League players, as both family and friends.”

The Elk City Field office, Arapaho Plant and Buffalo Creek Plant employees participated in the fundraiser, and helped the team raise $1,700 in employee only donations. Region Manager Jason Palmer was generous to match up to $500 personally, which was their original goal.

“I am so proud of how everyone united together for this cause,” emphasized Jones. “The Dream League coordinator was astounded when we presented the money and were able to take a group photo on the beautiful turf Dream League field in our MPC Gives Back shirts.”

Members that participated in the charity walk were: Jennifer Jones, Phillip Sharp, John Ebisch, John Newer, Jeremy Cantrell, Brooke Poeling, Angela Windle, Robert Land, Lynn Broadbent, Gabe Jones and Jason Palmer.
