Marathon employees recently attended the Junior Achievement of North Central Ohio JA Inspire event at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. The career fair welcomed 3,700 area middle and high schoolers who explored career paths and connected with more than 100 local employers.

“Working with Junior Achievement was a great way to engage with the workforce of tomorrow and show students the opportunities available with Marathon right in their own backyard,” said Transport & Rail Senior Personal Safety Professional Scott Thorn. “Many of the students’ interests aligned directly with the roles that help make our company successful.”

Students learned about the different career opportunities at Marathon, including firefighting. 

Marathon had a strong presence at the event, with colleagues representing refining, pipeline, transportation and fire operations. The broad participation highlighted how teams across the company came together to showcase Marathon’s work and inspire the next generation.
