Marathon Petroleum Corporation (MPC) and its ARCO® brand participated in the 2022 ONEXPO Convention in Merida Yucatan, Mexico, in June, highlighting MPC’s commitment to providing reliable fuel to the Mexico market. The annual convention brings together fuel retailers, fuel distributors, transport companies, service companies and site equipment providers.

“This was a great event to showcase our presence and brands in the local market,” said Cruz del Castillo, ARCO® Brand Manager for Mexico. “More than 1,000 people attended the event from all over Mexico, from potential clients and commercial associates to several current ARCO® and TESOROTM business associates that promote our brands and capabilities.”

MPC and ARCO®´s participation in ONEXPO were led by John Robertson, VP Latin America, who during the event´s inauguration was greeted by Yucatan Governor Mauricio Vila Dosal and the incoming ONEXPO President Jorge Eduardo Mijares Casas. The MPC Latin America Marketing team created an experience at the convention that showed attendees what ARCO® has to offer as a brand. The team also showcased MPC´s refining operations and logistics capabilities for current and future customers.

The ONEXPO Organization has existed for 35 years and ARCO® has been participating in the ONEXPO Convention since 2018. MPC, through Tesoro Mexico, has 228 ARCO® and 51 TESOROTM branded stations across the states of Baja California, Baja California Sur, Sonora, Sinaloa, Chihuahua, Jalisco and Nuevo Leon. Tesoro Mexico also markets fuel products to unbranded retail sites and other companies for industrial purposes.
