In Pictures: Days of Caring makes significant impact in community of Findlay, Ohio

Findlay, Ohio, FoundationThe United Way of Hancock County in Ohio organized its community-wide Days of Caring event to bring together more than 900 volunteers to complete 93 service projects in five days. The volunteers logged 3,600 community service hours during the bi-annual event, which equates to more than $120,500 in savings for the nonprofit organizations.
"The dedication and hard work of our volunteers is truly inspiring," said Kelley McClurkin, CEO of United Way of Hancock County. "Their efforts not only save these organizations significant resources but also strengthen the bonds within our community. We are incredibly proud to celebrate 40 years of service with such a meaningful event."
Marathon Petroleum employees were among those who participated, contributing their time and skills to various projects.
"Being part of Days of Caring is a rewarding experience for all of us at Marathon Petroleum," said Ashley Goecke, Advanced Community and Stakeholder Engagement Representative. "It’s an opportunity to give to the community that supports us and to make a tangible difference in the lives of our neighbors."
