Refinery Status
The Robinson Refinery will conduct the following emergency response preparedness drills and training exercises in September:
Sept. 10 and 24: Fire and Rescue training involving controlled fires. Neighbors of the refinery may see visible flames and smoke.
Sept. 17: The annual emergency response preparedness drill will include the local Emergency Management Team and first responders. During the drill, the plant warning system will be activated, and neighbors may see additional activity around the refinery. Please do not be concerned; this is only a drill.
In the event of an actual emergency, the Community Warning System will be activated.
Operational Updates
Periodically, neighbors of our Robinson refinery may hear loud, short bursts of sound around dawn and dusk. These sounds safely deter birds from entering the refinery without causing harm, reflecting our continued commitment to environmental stewardship. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to call (618) 544-2121 and ask for Human Resources.
