During its recent operating conference and trade show, the International Liquid Terminals Association (ILTA) presented Marathon Petroleum’s Logistics & Storage (L&S) Terminals organization with its 2025 Platinum Safety Award for large companies. This prestigious award is granted by ILTA and chosen by industry peers. 
 
To achieve the award, L&S Terminals needed to score in the top quartile of a leading indicator survey and 2024 OSHA recordable performance. This marks the 15th year that ILTA has acknowledged L&S Terminals with a safety award.  
 
L&S Terminals attained a record-setting safety performance in 2024. Their accomplishments included three new and four renewed Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP) and two new Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) ENERGY STAR certifications.
