MPLX gives grant to Western Oklahoma school robotics program

Foundation, sustainabilityEmployees from MPLX’s Western Oklahoma Office presented Canute Public Schools a $5,000 local giving grant that will help fund the senior robotics project at the high school. Canute schools are focused on providing exceptional robotics, e-sports and coding education to students.
“Canute schools are proud to instill practical skills in the next generation with one of the premier STEM programs in the state,” said Principal JD Beck. “We are grateful for the support from MPLX.”
Canute alum and MPLX Operations Specialist Clay Walters has worked in the Elk City Field Office since 2015. He is the fifth generation of his family to live in Canute. His young children are the sixth generation, and they will attend the Canute schools as they grow up. He is proud to see MPLX support the schools in this way.
“We are very fortunate to be a part of a company that gives back and invests in our community in such a meaningful way,” said Walters. “For me, it’s very satisfying to see my employer giving back to the schools I attended.”
