MPCgives Invitational raises $2.26 million for community investments and grants

The MPCgives Invitational scored a win for charity at the golf and networking event held in San Antonio, Texas, in October. With the support of our generous sponsors and partners, the golf tournament raised $2.26 million that will be distributed among nine national nonprofit organizations. New this year, a workforce development grant will be given to 13 community colleges and educational programs for student scholarships.

More than 180 sponsors and donors were represented at the event to raise funds for charities and community colleges across the country.

“At MPC, our community investment strategy is centered around strengthening communities and helping make people's lives better,” said Tim Aydt, EVP of Refining at Marathon Petroleum. “We’re happy to have opportunities like this where our valued business partners can participate, because together we make an even bigger impact.”
