MPC headquarters celebrates Days of Caring
Community News
For the past 25 years, the community of Findlay, Ohio, has embraced the United Way Days of Caring – a series of days
devoted to helping its local United Way agencies with short-term, project-focused volunteer service that would not typically be covered in their annual budgets.
MPC’s Findlay Campus has been involved with the Days of Caring for many years. This year, 953 volunteers from MPC assisted with projects benefiting numerous United Way agencies and community organizations during the week of May 6-10. Findlay Campus employees from more than 18 organizational teams participated. On Friday, May 10, for example, IT notably had 66 employees volunteer for projects for the American Red Cross, Campfire and Century Health, while 58 employees from Marine/Terminal, Transport & Rail turned out for projects at Camp Berry, Habitat for Humanity, the Hancock Parks District, and 50 North (formerly Agency on Aging).
“We had another successful week,” notes Andrea Kuenzli, a financial analyst at MPC, who coordinated the Days of Caring schedule for Findlay Campus volunteers. “Every year I am impressed by our volunteers and their willingness to donate time to make their community better. I would like to thank everyone who volunteered.”
