Community Investment

Charitable Contributions and Grants

MPC and our employees provide support to 501(c)(3) non-profit and government-related organizations and agencies in the form of Community Investments, sponsorships, local giving grants and workplace giving and volunteerism. We prioritize communities where the company has a significant operational and employee presence and focus our investments on three core areas where we can make a positive, measurable impact: workforce development, sustainability and thriving communities.

Grant proposals are accepted by invitation. If your organization is selected to apply, you will be contacted directly with steps for accessing the application. If you have not received an invitation and are interested in funding, you may submit an inquiry to your local community relations contact or email [email protected].

Please note, only a small number of inquiries are invited to submit a proposal.

Community Investment Priorities

Workforce Development

A skilled employee signaling thumbs up after a task has been completed

MPC’s success depends on attracting and retaining skilled employees across many disciplines, including engineers, pipefitters, chemists, accountants, IT specialists and welders. We invest in workforce initiatives that help prepare individuals for professional success by expanding access to high-quality education, training and career readiness resources, including vocational, technical and skilled trades programs.

Sustainability

Sustainability

As part of our commitment to meet the needs of today while investing in a sustainable future, MPC supports programs that protect natural resources and advance environmental sustainability. These efforts may include life sciences and breakthrough research, protecting biodiversity, preserving or creating parks and green spaces, improving air and water quality and increasing access to clean water and food.

Thriving Communities

Thriving Communities

We are committed to helping our communities become stronger, safer and more vibrant places to live and work. MPC provides funding for programs that build community resilience by addressing basic needs, supporting youth development programs, expanding economic opportunity and advancing safety initiatives that help communities prepare for, reduce risks from and respond to, hazards, disasters and emergencies.

Watching our team come together and seeing students realize they can do these jobs has been incredibly meaningful. It reminds all of us why showing up for our community matters.”

Employee Giving and Volunteerism

MPC employees are passionate about giving their time, money and talents to address the issues facing our world. It is part of our culture and how we demonstrate our Core Values.
