Marathon Petroleum’s Transport and Rail organization announced the transport drivers who have reached three or more years without a preventable accident. Five drivers achieved the 2023 Million Mile Award for one million and two million miles driven during that time.
“These drivers have demonstrated consistent focus on the task at hand and the ability to repeatedly perform safe, reliable and efficient operations,” said Mike Johnson, Vice President of Transport & Rail. “Excellent and safe operations is Transport and Rail’s top priority. The accomplishments of these five drivers shows commitment to this priority.”

For this recognition, the driver’s miles were accumulated for each full year driven without a preventable accident. Once three years are reached without a preventable accident, the driver is eligible to receive the Million Mile Award at intervals of one million, two million and three million miles.
