Marathon Support for Ohio Flood Victims

Marathon pledged immediate support for the relief efforts underway by the American Red Cross in our surrounding counties devastated by recent flooding in Ohio by donating $50,000 to the Hancock County Flood & Disaster Relief Fund. Additionally, Marathon donated $45,000 to the City of Findlay to provide fuel for emergency responders and cleanup efforts.

To provide further support in our community, Marathon is announcing a matching donation program of up to $250,000 to the relief efforts. Through this employee, retiree, customer and business partner contribution matching gift plan, a potential contribution totaling $550,000 can be achieved with your support.

The needs of our neighbors in this area of Ohio are great. Contributions will be matched - dollar for dollar - to provide support for the victims of this disaster. This match will allow you to double the impact of your donation. We hope to have an online program available within the next couple of days to facilitate your donation. Please watch for further announcements.

Donations to this matching fund will be directed to the American Red Cross which is raising money for the North Central Ohio Floods under designation number 681-08. Donations to this fund provide support for Allen, Crawford, Hancock, Hardin, Putnam, Richland, Seneca, Van Wert and Wyandot counties. Here are some of the support efforts recently provided by the Red Cross:
