Marathon Petroleum Company LLC (MPC) produces 100 and 325 solvent neutral base oils at our Catlettsburg, KY refinery. With a high viscosity index, reduced volatility, and excellent low-temperature properties, these API Group I paraffinic base oils can be used to formulate a wide variety of lubricating oils and additives.

Production Information
The Catlettsburg refinery uses a solvent extraction process followed by hydrofinishing and dewaxing to produce 100 and 325 neutral base oils.

Transportation
MPC transports base oils by barge, rail, and truck from Catlettsburg, KY. MPC base oils are also available by truck at various blending facilities.
