Asphalt, Coke and Heavy Oils Marketing

In terms of capacity, Marathon Petroleum Company LP (MPC) is one of the U.S.'s largest asphalt producers. We market asphalt through 21 owned and 12 leased terminals located throughout the Midwest and Southeast that are supplied by our refineries in Garyville, La.; Canton, Ohio; Catlettsburg, Ky.; and Detroit, Mich.

MPC's asphalt customer base includes asphalt paving contractors, government entities (states, counties, cities and townships) and asphalt roofing shingle manufacturers. MPC also markets heavy oil from all six refineries and petroleum coke from Garyville, La. and Robinson, Ill.
