Marathon Pipe Line LLC (MPL) manages one of the largest petroleum pipeline networks in the U.S., based on total volume delivered. MPL operates pipeline systems that move crude oil from production fields, other pipeline companies and offshore platforms to MPC refineries, other refineries and other pipeline systems. MPL also operates pipeline systems that move refined products from refineries to product terminals.

MPL owns, operates, leases or has an ownership interest in approximately 9,600 miles of pipeline, comprising 68 systems in 15 states and federal waters.

MPC delivers more than 2.8 million barrels of crude oil and petroleum products daily through these pipelines. High-speed computers, constantly evolving technology and satellite communications enable the company to monitor and control its many pipeline systems throughout the U.S. from a single control center.

The MPL and Ohio River Pipe Line (ORPL) partial ownership interests in several pipeline companies that have approximately 110 miles of crude oil pipelines and 3,600 miles of refined products pipelines, including about 970 miles operated by MPL
