A Commitment to Ethics and Integrity
Marathon Petroleum Corporation (MPC) is committed to upholding high ethical standards and principles, both in letter and in spirit, throughout all of our operations.
MPC's Code of Business Conduct is a statement of our commitment to comply with the law and to conduct our business ethically. This reinforces our values of trust, respect, dignity and honesty, which form the foundation for good business decisions. In an ever-changing business environment, it is important that our employees, suppliers and stakeholders understand our position regarding ethical business conduct.
Business Integrity and Compliance is responsible for developing and implementing the ethics program for MPC. This team is also charged with overseeing MPC's Integrity Helpline—which is both a valuable resource for discussion and advice regarding ethics issues and behavior in the workplace and a means for reporting suspected illegal or unethical activity.
MPC’s Policy for Whistleblowing Procedures addresses the receipt, retention and treatment of complaints received by the company regarding accounting, internal accounting controls, or auditing matters, and the confidential, anonymous submission by employees of concerns regarding questionable accounting or auditing matters.
